Inter-Associate Members League 2012

SGA Golf Club is looking for players to represent the club for the Inter-Associate Members League 2012. Interested members are to email their name, membership number, contact details (both mobile & email address) and T-shirt size to sgaclub@sgaclub.com.sg.

Selection of players will be conducted by the SGA Golf Club Committee and selected players will be given a free cap, T-shirt and in addition, the club will subsidise 50% of the entry fee for each game.

The League will be a stroke play competition in four Divisions competing on gross scores. A team will consist of 4 players and a reserve.

The classifications of the "Premier", "A", "B" and Senior Divisions will be based on Handicap Index and they are:

Division	Handicap Index Range (as at 1st January 2012)
Premier	Up to 7.0
"A"	7.1 - 11.0
"B'	11.1 - 18.0
"Senior" (55 years)	Up to 18.0

The dates and venues are as follows:

1st Leg - 20th March 2012, Tuesday at Raffles Country Club (Lake Course)

2nd Leg - 12th April 2012, Thursday at Warren Country Club

3rd Leg - 15th May 2012, Tuesday at Marina Bay Golf Course

4th leg - 29th May 2012, Tuesday at NSRCC Kranji Sanctuary

The FA Cai medal was held at Warren Golf & Country Club on 2 February 2012. As in the past years, the Gold Medal competition was held in conjunction with this game. A total of 46 players took part in the Fa Cai Medal, including 25 Gold Medal qualifiers.

The day started off with the promise of excellent golfing weather, however, by late morning the dark clouds brought rain and a lightning risk. The club called a halt to play at about 1230 hrs, and the delay was expected to be for at least one and a half hours. As all flights had crossed over, the committee decided to award the Fa Cai Medal game based on nine hole scores, and postpone the Gold Medal game to another day.

A Div winner was Lee Chong Leong and runner up was Wong Thye Hiam. The B Div winner was Adli Khairin Bin Zulhasrin and runner up was June Seegers.
